Hi, We’re the creator of RioTheJaneiro.net, a blog about the marvelous city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This blog is in English and it helps to travel to RJ, where to go, where to stay and where to eat. In this text, I will tell you a little bit about myself and why I decided to start this blog.

I was born and raised in Brazil, a country that has a unique charm and beauty. I grew up surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the mountains, the sea and the forests. I also experienced the rich and diverse culture of Rio, with its music, art, cuisine and people. I love my hometown and I always wanted to share its wonders with the world.

I wanted to learn how to write stories that could capture the essence of Rio and its people. I also wanted to improve my English skills, so I took courses and practiced with native speakers online. I realized that there was a lot of interest and curiosity about Rio from Americans who wanted to visit or learn more about it.

After graduating from college, I write about covering topics related to tourism, culture and entertainment. I enjoyed my job, but I felt that there was more that I could do to promote Rio as a destination for Americans. . I also saw that there was a lot of potential for cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Brazilians and Americans.

That’s when I had the idea of creating RioTheJaneiro.net, a blog dedicated to providing useful and reliable information about Rio de Janeiro for Americans who speak English. I started this blog in 2023, with the help of my friend and web designer Pedro, who also loves Rio. Since then, we have been posting articles, videos, photos and podcasts about various aspects of Rio, such as its history, geography, attractions, events, nightlife, gastronomy and more. We also offer tips and recommendations on how to plan your trip, where to stay, how to get around, what to do and what to avoid in Rio.

Our goal is to help you have the best possible experience in Rio de Janeiro, whether you are a first-time visitor or a frequent traveler. We want you to discover the real Rio, not just the postcard image. We want you to enjoy the beauty and diversity of Rio, but also be aware of its challenges and problems. We want you to connect with the locals and learn from their perspectives and stories. We want you to fall in love with Rio as much as we do.

So, if you are interested in visiting or learning more about Rio de Janeiro, you are in the right place. Welcome to RioTheJaneiro.net, your ultimate guide to the marvelous city!
